Terms of Service

The fine print, in plain English.

Last updated October 3, 2026. When you create an account or become a member of The Good Sense Club, these terms apply.

1. Please read this part carefully

The Good Sense Club is for education and entertainment. The lessons and everything else on this site are general information, presented for learning and enjoyment. They are not professional advice of any kind.

We are not liable for your losses. We are not your bank, your accountant, your lawyer, your financial advisor or your security consultant. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy, sell, click, send, invest or do anything. Online safety lessons reduce risk — they cannot remove it. Following our lessons does not guarantee that you, your money, your accounts or your devices will be safe from scams, fraud, hackers or loss. You agree that The Good Sense Club is not responsible for any loss, damage or harm of any kind — financial or otherwise — that you or anyone else may experience in connection with this site, the lessons, or anything described in them.

2. Who we are

The Good Sense Club ("the club", "we", "us") operates the website thegoodsenseclub.com and its member lesson library. The club is an American company, founded in the USA.

3. Your account

You create an account with your email (or Google) and choose a display name. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private, and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has gotten into it. You must be able to form a binding contract to join — in practice, that means you're an adult, or a parent or guardian set the account up with you.

4. Membership and billing

Your first Good Sense Club lesson is free. Everything else unlocks with membership:

Monthly membership — $5.00 per month. Your first payment is made when you join, and future payments are collected on the 1st of each month. Each payment opens one month of lessons.

Annual all-access — $50.00 one-time. One payment opens all twelve months of lessons for a year.

Cancel anytime. You can cancel from your account or by contacting us. When you cancel, you keep access through everything you've already paid for, and no further payments are collected. Payments are non-refundable — we don't offer refunds for partial months or unused time, because lessons unlock as soon as you pay for them.

Prices may change. If we ever change the price, we'll tell you by email before the change takes effect, and it won't affect time you've already paid for. Sales tax is calculated and collected automatically where applicable.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details — Apple Pay, Google Pay and card payments all go through Stripe's secure checkout.

5. Lessons and content

The lessons, emails, artwork and everything else on the site belong to The Good Sense Club. Your membership is for you personally: please don't copy, share, resell or repost our lessons or account access. Short quotes shared with friends for their own learning are fine. We may update, add to or retire lessons over time — a club that stays useful has to keep up with the world.

6. Referral program

Each member gets a personal referral link. When someone who signs up with your link becomes a paying member, we credit your account with three (3) additional months of access — free. Referrals that only create a free account don't earn months. We can adjust or end the referral program with reasonable notice, and we may decline referral credits that look fraudulent (self-referrals, fake accounts, or payment reversals).

7. Acceptable use

Please use the site the way it's meant to be used. Don't break the law, try to break in, scrape or copy the site at scale, upload malware, harass other members, or use the site to run your own scam. We can suspend or end accounts that do — and members who violate these terms forfeit remaining paid time without refund.

8. Emails and communication

By joining, you agree to receive service emails from us — your sign-in links, your welcome, your membership confirmations and important account notices. These aren't marketing, and you can't turn them off while you're a member. If we ever send newsletters or offers, we'll ask first and every one will include a way to opt out.

9. Disclaimers

Educational and entertainment purposes only. The club exists to inform and entertain. The lessons and everything on this site are general information for learning — not professional advice, and not a substitute for advice from your bank, accountant, attorney, doctor or any qualified professional.

No guarantee of results. We work hard to keep lessons accurate and current, but the internet changes daily and we can't promise any lesson covers every trick in circulation. Content is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Third-party names and services. Lessons may mention banks, companies, government agencies and other organizations as examples. Mentioning them doesn't mean they endorse us or partner with us, and we're not responsible for anything they do. Always verify a company through its official channels before you act.

Links out. Where we link to other websites, we don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or practices.

10. Limitation of liability — release of claims

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree that The Good Sense Club, its owner, and anyone who works on it will not be liable to you or anyone else for any loss, damage, cost, or harm of any kind — including financial loss, lost money, lost data, device problems, emotional distress, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — arising out of or connected to the site, the lessons, your account, or your use of (or inability to use) any of them.

You release and hold harmless The Good Sense Club and its owner from any and all claims arising from your use of the site and the lessons.

If a court or arbitrator decides that any part of the previous two paragraphs can't be enforced, then our total liability to you for anything related to the site or the lessons is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim — or fifty dollars ($50), whichever is less.

11. If something goes wrong

If you have a problem with the club, email us first — we'd genuinely like to fix it. Before filing a formal claim, please give us thirty (30) days to make it right. Any formal dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, under California and United States law, except where your local consumer-protection law gives you something better.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the club grows. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above, and for significant changes we'll email members. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms? Email hello@thegoodsenseclub.com and a real person will get back to you.
